Deadline to Register: February 10, 2016

Now in its 4th year, Contemporary Art Month is a celebration and promotion of contemporary art and artists in Corpus Christi. CAMCC is series of events including art exhibitions in galleries, businesses and public places, art education programs, art happenings and performances. These art events are listed together on our website and in a CAMCC brochure, which is made available at participating businesses throughout Corpus Christi. CAMCC is organized by K Space Contemporary.

Contemporary Art Month is a concept started in 1986 by Blue Star Art Space in San Antonio. In 2013, Corpus Christi joined the party. By placing artwork in area businesses, CAMCC intends to bring art into our everyday lives, bring attention to the exceptional artists and works of art being created in our community, while making one’s usual stops around town a bit more interesting!

You are invited to participate! We are currently seeking artists and businesses to participate in this city-wide event. It is a cross-promotion vehicle, as well as, a celebration and promotion of the arts.

The Basics:  (See more details on the appropriate registration page)

  • Exhibition Dates:  March 1-31.  Art Exhibitions must be on display during the month of March, preferably throughout the entire month. An opening/reception or Meet-the-Artist event may be held at any time during the month.
  • Either the Artist or the Business must be a member of K Space Contemporary to participate.  Artist Memberships start at only $20.   Click Here to Join
  • Non-Profit Arts Organizations (501(c)3) may participate without membership.
  • New Installations: CAMCC shows must be new installations, not artwork on permanent display.  Artists may change out a permanent exhibition with fresh work for CAMCC.
  • DIY – Artists must be able to install the show themselves: CAMCC shows are do-it-yourself projects.

Ways to Participate:

Create an event or tell us about one that is already planned, then, fill in the appropriate form to list your event. Either the business or the artist may list the event – we only need the info once:
