Oso Bay Biennial XX – Painting: Realism Redux.
Representational painting has been through numerous incarnations since its beginning and continues to evolve. Experimental applications in paint, intriguing imagery, and unconventional subject matter have brought it back again and again. This exhibition and the accompanying symposium will focus on alternative approaches to representational painting.
All painting media and methods will be accepted but some form of the recognizable image must be evident.
The exhibition will be held in Texas A & M-Corpus Christi’s Islander Art Gallery (4024 Weber Rd) as part of the Oso Bay Biennial XX Painting Symposium. TAMUCC is partnering with K Space Contemporary for online entry system administration.
Oso Bay Biennial XX Painting Symposium, held Thursday, March 29 and Friday, March 30, 2018 will include exhibitions, panel discussions, and artists presentations.
