K Space Contemporary education programing is one of the ways that we support our local community and fulfill our mission statement.

Mural Arts Program for Teens
K Space's Mural Arts Program for Teens was established in 2016 and has since taken off! K Space Contemporary is proud to host a summer mural arts program for teens, the only one of its kind in the Coastal Bend region. This program is designed for teens ages 13 to 17 who want to be more involved in their local art community and are interested in pursuing art in the future. Currently, we host a summer program but hope to host a winter program soon.
K Space Art Lab started as a series of online workshops in 2020 but has now evolved into a year-round development and enrichment program. K Space plans to host workshops twice a month geared towards helping teens experiment and explore their art practice. Leading these workshops will be local and visiting artists. In addition, teens will also learn about different career paths in the arts.

Senior Recreation Outreach
K Space Contemporary has partnered with Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation to take hands-on projects and presentations led by professional artists to senior recreation centers in Corpus Christi. These classes provide creative outlets for seniors who would not otherwise have access. Instructors consist of local professional artists and provide lessons in a variety of materials and techniques.
