WIGOUT APRIL 11, 2015 !

Attention all Saints & Sinners, plans for “WigOut in the Garden of Earthly Delights” are underway. WigOut is K Space Contemporary’s signature fundraiser in which all guests are required to wear a wig, hat or otherwise fanciful head-gear or head-sculpture. The painting, pictured above, is “The Garden of Earthly Delights”, painted by Heironymus Bosch in 1495. It is an altarpiece depicting Heaven on the left, Earth in the center and Hell on the right.  Humans and fantastical creatures frolic throughout the painting. K Space Contemporary will be transformed into Heaven, Earth and Hell.

Enjoy Heavenly hors d’oeuveres by our artful caterers and an Eve’s Original Sin cocktail.  Have your picture made in the photo studio, dance to music by DJ Audio, and get great deals on contemporary works of art by area artists.  Buyers who purchase one of our artist-decorated grab bags receive coupons and gift certificates from fine retailers and a chance to win terrific prizes like Southwest Airline tickets and wine refrigerator from Appliance Mart.

This is truly a FUN-raiser. Some have called WigOut, “the best party in town.” Funds raised will support K Space Contemporary’s Summer Art Adventures Education Programs and Keep Corpus Christi Colorful Mural Program.

A portion of the proceeds will assist the completion of Phase 2 of the “Loteria” mural, which will add 30 additional card paintings to the existing 24 on the  south wall of our building.  Loteria is the newest addition to K Space Contemporary’s “Keep Corpus Christi Colorful” mural program.

We ask for your commitment to help us reach this year’s goal of $25,000 by purchasing tickets and attending the event, donating in-kind goods/services, or by becoming a sponsor.
