31 1/2″ x 31 1/2″

As our society abandons paper and tangible media, the ephemera itself becomes the building block for narrative.
What draws you to your chosen medium, what do you love about it?
This piece is constructed from an abandoned comic book collection from a close friend’s childhood. Each book was cut into thousands of 3″ squares, which are then individually folded into a sonobe origami module which are linked and pieced together to form both “mountains” and “valleys” in a quilt like pattern.
