Dennis Kemmerer was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After attending Del Mar College, He received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, from Corpus Christi State University (now TAMUCC) and a Master of Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. Kemmerer taught Art in the CCISD system for many years. He is now retired and making art full-time.
