Cheryl Votzmeyer currently lives in Corpus Christi and works out of her studio at K Space Studios. Cheryl received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a minor in Art History from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and is currently working on her Masters of Public Affairs.
This body of work focuses on experimentation of abstraction and continuous exploration of color. Cheryl uses abstraction as a fundamental way of working to create art while adding, scraping, deleting, and moving through frustrations and then the agreement of what becomes the final work. Typically, Cheryl creates her work in response to personal experiences or reactions to current events and political climate.
