“UnSustainable: A Design for Good Poster Exhibition“
Under the direction of Assistant Professor Andrea Hempstead, graphic design students from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi were asked to choose topics that addressed sustainability in their Design for Good course. The resulting exhibition is a collection of awareness posters containing strong visual metaphors that connect with how human actions impact the pollution of Corpus Christi’s beaches. These posters intend to incite reaction and action to provoke change in behavior. Many of our daily actions create a long-term impact on our environment. We are facing BIG problems in our lifetimes that include climate change, ocean pollution, harmful toxins in our air and atmosphere, overpopulation, deforestation, and loss of biodiversity. We are asking – what small changes can you make that will result in a big impact?
